Meteorological agencies are predicting that Liaoning, parts of eastern northwest China, the western Sichuan Basin, and Yunnan will be hit with heavy to torrential rain. Areas in Sichuan and Yunnan that have already seen substantial rainfall face a higher risk of disasters because of ongoing precipitation.
